The First Team returned to action at the weekend with a trip to Ivybridge Town, coming home with another three points following a thrilling eight goal contest.
Theo Worth led the scoring with a superb hat trick, while Eddie Townsend and Preston Hopwood also found the net to secure an excellent 5-3 victory for the Cobblers.
Jacob Shore and Jordan Hayman shared the Man of the Match award after both players dug deep defensively and put in fantastic performances to help the team see out the game. A special mention must also go to Theo following another outstanding display in front of goal.
At the Tannery, the Reserves welcomed Bishops Sutton for their third match of the season. Despite a committed performance from the team, two goals from the visitors saw the game finish 2-0.
The result may not have gone their way, but the players gave everything from the opening whistle and continued battling until the end. Emmanuel Tomu was named Man of the Match in recognition of his effort, commitment and performance throughout the game.
